Creating the "FASHION ICON SET" for Aliyahsinterlude

We had the amazing opportunity to create a two piece set for Aliyahsinterlude, also known for her style dubbed, "Aliyahcore". After driving all the way from Virginia to New York for Fashion Week, we were able to attend an after party hosted by the fashion Icon herself. We must have been manifesting because not too long after we had the green light to make her a custom look. 

We knew we had to create something bold and unique. Finding the base was a pivotal step into constructing and conceptualizing what the end product would be. After hunting in multiple spots, we uncovered the perfect electric blue vintage sweater in downtown Fredericksburg and started sketching what the look would be. The final product included a micro-cropped sleeveless tank with hot pink lace along the hems, a collage of cute beads and studs hand sewn in a swooping pattern that started at the front of the top and ended at the top of the back, our signature two bows on the bust, and the word "ICON", spelled on the back made from scrap fabrics and each letter sewn with a different style of stitch. The mini skirt, made from the bottom of the sweater, has pleated plaid at the hem, studs around the waist, and with both matching hot pink lace and black bows like the top.

Upon sending the set off, we were amazed and thrilled to see our look being worn at her performance in Australia. This look has been one of our favorites to create and we couldn't be happier with how out it turned out!
